Does your DIY project call for a heavyweight (16 t0 20 mil) reinforced plastic sheeting with world class durability? Our Raven Dura-Skrim 20WW 20 mil, both puncture, and tear resistant, has no equal.
Dura-Skrim 20WW (20 mil white on each side) is made of two sheets of high strength polyethylene film laminated together with a third layer of molten polyethylene. Inside there is a heavy duty diamond shaped network of scrim (string) for reinforcement which greatly enhances tear resistance and increases service life. The white outer layer contains UV inhibitors and thermal stabilizer and is designed to reduce heat buildup and condensation.
Dura-Skrim 20WW is the first choice for applications requiring greater performance than common 20 mil plastic sheeting.
11.5′ x 100′ Rolls are ideal for crawl space floors. Fewer seams, improved seal, better results.

We decided to lay the vapor barrier ourselves before our dirt crawl space was encapsulated with spray foam. This product definitely seems like it will do the job! Thick, rugged and seems perfect for the job. Plan your attack before putting it in a tight space as it is very strong and stiff. Very pleased with delivery time, size and product strength!!!

Decided to go with the 20 mil on the floor and 6 mil on walls. Glad I decided on the thicker for floor as it will hold up much better to foot traffic. The 6 mil works fine on the walls though. Bought everything I needed here at DIY and delivery was super fast and quality is excellent. Just for info the Worx ZipSnip cutting tool works great for cutting nice straight lines and really speeds up the process. I already had one so decided to try it after marking the vapor barrier with a black marker on the white side. Cut the 20 mil like butter.

Steve’s recommendation about the ZipSnip was probably the most useful thing I’ve read on the internet in years! I’d never heard of this tool before and promptly bought it before starting my crawlspace encapsulation project. This thing makes cutting all of the material (20 mil vapor barrier, drainage mat, etc.) an absolute breeze. I’ve now found myself using it on packaging and other hard to cut items as a result.
